Hollow Bone Drums

I began my prayer for drum birthing in 2019 in Ecuador, eventually apprenticing with a master drum maker from the Iroquois Nation who is based in Oregon.  Since then I have been birthing drums and rattles and guiding workshops for people to empower themselves with the medicine and teachings of the drum. I have also worked extensively with drums in ceremony, sound healing, and my personal journey.

One of the many things I have learned from my experience so far is that there are many ways and traditions of making drums.  I have learned so much from both my teachers and my students and am honored to be a part of these traditions and share this powerful medicine with others.  I work currently with bison, horse, local deer, local elk, and goat.  The cedar round frames I use come from a frame maker in BC and for the rattles I use materials gathered from the Salish Sea.  I am overjoyed by and deeply grateful for the abundance of this place we get to live in.
