Lopez Island Studio Tour – Labor Day

Lopez Artists open their studio doors and invite residents and visitors to the island to come explore their tools, techniques and creative inspirations. Meet the artists, listen to the stories of their materials, process, and exhibitions. Purchase a work to take home. And enjoy this fascinating look into the world of professional artists in a variety of mediums.

The Makers Guild greatly enjoyed a day trip touring the island and visited the carving studio of Bruce Richardson, marveled at the wood sculptures and finishing techniques of Michael Peterson, stepped into the makerspace weaving studio lined with looms and yarns of Sheila Metcalf, listene to the stories behind the dimensional assemblage visual wall pieces and sculptures of Brian Gooding, and of course dropped into the Remakery and Chimera Gallery.

Explore the works of Lopez artists and support the island art community. Event is organized by the Lopez Artist Guild.
