Stretch your creativity and learn a new art form! Join us for a small group class learning to construct luminaries using natural reed and papers. Classes for beginner to intermediate makers.

Winter Luminary Classes - Free for Orcas Residents

Create your own beautiful paper lantern to shine a warm light during the winter.

 

Classes from beginner to advanced are taught by Orcas artists and welcome sign ups.

 

Classes are free. Donations towards materials welcome.

 

Beginners meet once for a 2 hr session. Intermediate/Advanced meet for 1 – 4hr session.

 

Make your own, as a family, or form a contingent with a special theme.

 

The Orcas community Winter Solstice Parade is Saturday, December 21st and November is a good time to get started on your lantern – or lanterns.
