Born in Toronto, Canada, Janet's initial love of clay started at the family cottage in Northern Ontario where they enjoyed a natural clay bed. She started working in ceramics over ten years ago and since then has been accumulating the tools of the trade and gathering knowledge from people I have met in my travels. She has been a participating artist in the Best of the Northwest shows since 2011 and sits on the board of Artisan Tile Northwest LLC and co-owned Creative Minds Northwest LLC Artist Collective in Seattle.
She is the founder and convener of Creative Minds Coop Gallery in Eastsound on Orcas.
