I was brought up in a creative household. My mother was my first teacher for all art and craft. She taught me to sew, paint and knit. My parents took us to museums and Renaissance Fairs. I took art classes in High School and Collage and beyond. I married a man who also likes to work with his hands and has the need to be creative, too.
I have lived up and down the West Coast and in the Middle East. We moved to San Juan Island in 2017. I am the Executive Director at Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. I have taught art classes. I knit, sew, create jewelry, felt, slow hand stitch, create multimedia, paint with acrylics, storyteller, upcycle, repurpose, and reshape. I volunteer with the San Juan Community theater as a costumer. I have made costumes since childhood. I love making hats. I need to create a little something every day.
I love seeing what other people create. I am looking forward to building community with the guild. I am happy to be here.
